Resident Evil Outbreak OC 3

So here is another Original Character I created for the Oubtreak Series starring my favourite actor Jake Gyllenhaal. I really think this turned out well compared to my previous OC's so i hope you guys like it too

Jake is a med student who finds himself trapped in the Raccoon City Subway station during the advent of the viral outbreak.

Feeling a tad adventurous , i decided to write a short narrative involving Jake so here it is


Scenario : The Abyss
Setting : Raccoon Subway Station
1:30 Am , September 18 , 1998



A great sense of relief overwhelmed Jake as he made his way down to the Raccoon City Subway station. After a long and exhausting day at work, he was finally heading home and was looking forward to falling into bed. As an intern at the Raccoon General Hospital, he was on his feet 24/7 and the stress combined with the long sleepless hours spent in the ER took a toll on him. He envied doctors such as Raccoon’s top surgeon, George Hamilton, and often wondered how he managed to get through his shifts without breaking a sweat. Grabbing a couple of quarters from his coat pocket he reassured himself that all his hardships would be worth it one day.
As he approached the ticket vendors, he noticed that none of the machines seem to function . Puzzled, he looked around for some assistance but the concourse was deserted except for a man who was standing motionlessly at some distance. Approaching the man, Jake called out to him , but didn’t get a response. It was then he noticed that the man was covered in deep bite marks and was bleeding profusely. An unbearable stench of rotting flesh emanated from the him and Jake recalled a a girl who was admitted in the ER earlier that day with similar wounds. Police had found her unconscious on the outskirts of the Arklay and concluded that the culprit must have been a wild animal. He had treated her but she unfortunately did not make it, something , which hurt him deeply. Jake told the man that he was a doctor and that he was going to help him but he remained unresponsive. As he attempted to walk him to one of the subway benches, the man vomited blood all over the floor . Quickly fishing out his cell phone from his pocket , Jake called EMS and assured the man that everything was going to be all right . However, before he could finish speaking, the man lunged at him barely missing . Backing away, Jake pleaded with the man to calm down but that did not seem to faze him as he attempted to attack again . Giving the crazed man a forceful shove, Jake bolted towards the subway platform only to stumble and fall.


Picking himself up him saw that he had tripped over the body of a subway employee. The man’s name tag was thrown across the floor and it read “Ricky - Station Guard “. His abdomen was ripped open, exposing his internal organs and an over grown rat with odd lesions over its body was nibbling away at the small intestine. Trying not to throw up, Jake frantically looked for an exit. Glancing back, he saw that the crazed man was struggling to get past the turnstile but couldn’t get through. Rushing past the body, he noticed that both the staircases leading to the east and west concourses were blocked by fallen debris and that his only way out was through a rusted door labeled “employee passage way”. Upon investigating he found that it was locked and escape seemed impossible until his eyes once again upon fell the dead rail worker. Sprinting towards body, he rummaged through the pockets, praying to find a key. He instead found a set of keys in the pant pocket of the cadaver whose lifeless eyes seemed to warn Jake to run. As he scampered towards the door, he noticed that the crazed man had managed to get onto the platform by crawling under the turnstile and was now stampeding towards him .Cursing loudly , Jake fumbled with one key after another desperately trying to get the door open. Finally hearing the click of the lock , he barged through the door and slammed it shut behind him just as the man tried to grab him. Bracing himself against the door, Jake tried to hold it shut as the maniac pounded incessantly , refusing to stop. Creating a barricade using a nearby table , he held his breath , hoping it would do the trick . The pounding soon stopped and all he could hear was an eerie moan . Collapsing to the floor , Jake tried to compose himself ; he had no idea what had just happened or how he was going to get out of here . Searching his pockets for his cell , he soon realized he had dropped it on the platform during the chase . Surveying his surrounding , he found himself in a dingy hallway , with two labeled doors ahead .Loud moans could be heard from the door labeled “Control Room” and the other door labeled ” Power Supply room “ was locked from within . Picking up a slightly bent metal pipe from the ground , Jake cautiously made his way to the only available door in the hall, not knowing what to expect………..
